WMMTA Fall Piano Festival
Date: Saturday, November 1, 2025   
Location: Newman University, DeMattias Fine Arts, 3100  W McCormick St.

The WMMTA Fall Festival is comprised of pianists of all ages. Auditions are scheduled for 10 minutes and the adjudicator will present verbal and brief written comments, a rating, and a festival ribbon.​

WMMTA Concerto Auditions

​WMMTA Spring Auditions:
Grades Pre-K-12 & College Music Majors

Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026

Registration Form for Collegiate Awards & High School Scholarship
The WMMTA Spring Auditions festival is open to students in grades Pre-K through 12 and collegiate music majors. The objective is to elevate the standards of performance among young people and to give recognition to those who strive for excellence in performance and piano teaching.
  • Grades Pre-K - 2 receive participation ribbons.
  • Grades 3 - 4 receive medals.
  • Grades 5 - 12 compete for cash prizes. Grade 12 participants receive a medal.
  • All grades may perform for written / verbal comments only.
  • High School seniors who are preparing to major in music at a Kansas college or university have the option of auditioning for the Milo Wright Scholarship award of $700. High School seniors choose to compete in the festival's Senior Division or for the Milo Wright Scholarship.
  • Collegiate music majors may audition for the Francis A. Wallingford Memorial Piano Performance award of $1,000 or the Francis A. Wallingford Memorial Piano Pedagogy award of $1,000. (Entrants must choose one of the collegiate options).
